What we know about Afzal Anwar.

Afzal Anwar was born in Nelson, Lancashire. He makes a big deal about being born here, living here, breathing the air here. He was educated in Pakistan where he got a Bachelor of Arts degree. He returned to the UK and started reading law. He graduated as a barrister in 2001 and following the successful completion of his one year training period he joined David Phillips and Partners as a barrister in 2002.

He wants to see more faith schools established in Pendle.

His views on the future of the pound, on enlargement of the European Union, on amnesty for illegal immigrants and on many other matters are still unclear.

In his biog Afzal itells us that he is a community representative to the Whitefield Regeneration Partnership and also a Governor of Ghausia Girls High School in Nelson.

Afzal is married with five children and in his spare time he enjoys playing cricket, horseriding, keeping fit, walking in the countryside and socialising with friends.

He has never held any elected office before.  Can you imagine this guy standing up in parliament to represent Pendle? - just listen to him!

Voting for Afzal Anwar is a wasted vote.  He will not get in.  You are most likely to see a Tory as your next MP!
